Personally, I’d rather have my tax dollars going to the HPD than the projects currently planned or being run by the Parks department!
The way the article is written, it sounded like the PD chief had the blessing of the mayor & council to make as many changes as needed in order to improve the PD operations & morale, but they shut him down when it came time to pay for those changes. We all know that many changes were needed in the HPD after Dick Trende left town.
Corruption is rampant and you want to throw more money at this thing? How about we finally find out who wrote the Devin Willi threat letter. Only then would I advocate for a little more money.
