  1. dratsum says:

Luke: Maybe you could list out your list of abominations that Ron Bernth is responsible for over the past 17 years? Or, instead of listing out the said “abominations,” do you prefer to be the broad-brush, cheapshot artist that it appears you are?
You seem to be jealous of Mr. Bernth? Maybe, if you would have studied more and entered the right profession, you to could have earned enough to golf at the Hudson Country Club and vacation in the tropics.
If I’m correct, I believe Mr. Bernth is not a member of the union or a teacher. I suppose you are personally attacking him because he is paid with tax dollars…just like Presdient Bush, Tom Delay, Condy Rice and a whole bunch of other public servants.

  2. Luke says:

Sorry to offend you Mustard Man. I do have a list, but I’m saving it for the very near future. Just so you have a better understanding, I am not particularly fond of paying for the lavish pensions of any of the individuals that you listed including Condy and GW.

  3. dratsum says:

So is that why you persist in making personal attacks on people like Mr. Bernth? He was hired by the school district. Maybe you are not aware of it, but his pay and benefit package are negotiated with the school board. To personally attack the man because of his benefit package is wrong. You should be attacking (or better yet working) with the school board to make the changes you think are needed in the district. It’s attacks like yours that top the list of why the Weese/Baker tag team got sent to the showers in the school board election. I case you haven’t noticed, politics is about having the most votes and/or working within the system to change the system and make your ideas known.
You my friend are nothing more than a verbal anarchist throwing the verbal firebombs filled with ignorance and jealousy.

  4. Tax Boy says:

Wow Luke, you lit a fire under dratsum! Come on now dratsum, are we really all to believe that Ron Bernth is an innocent man with regards to behavior? And one more thing, can you really say with a straight face that you or your spouse are not part of the “educational” establishment?

  5. dratsum says:

Tax Boy: I can say that I am not a member of the “educational” establishment with a straight or gay face. As I asked for earlier, show me the list of grievances you have against Ron Bernth, i.e., the specifics.
Also, a few of those that actually are teachers or spouses of teachers working in the Hudson School District that didn’t vote for either Weese or Baker are diehard Republicans. One of the main reasons is the personal attacks against individual members of the school board and the district.
The come line I heard on Weese is that he really does his homework, obviously cares about education, is a good watchdog of the purse strings but is arrogant to the point that he is right period. As far as Baker is concerned, the word going around — spread by people who have work for and with him — is that he follows two simple rules, when dealing with people:
    1. Jim Baker is always right.
    2. When Jim Baker is wrong, see rule #1.
I’ve never talked to either of these men, but I’ve seen them. Have you or Luke ever talked to Ron Bernth? I haven’t, but I have worked with a number of school superintendents and ALL have been dedicated to the pursuit of improving the educational opportunities and environment for our children — our future.
So am I to take it that Luke would like to make his personal attacks on anybody in the US that is receiving “lavish pensions.” Man you got a lot of hating to do buddy.
FYI: In industry, the rule of thumb is an employee’s hourly wage is half of the total benefit outlay for the employee, e.g. if the employee makes $15/hour is pay the company is paying additional $15 in health, retirement, etc. benefits. I don’t know why this would change in school districts.
So why don’t you open up your shotgun shells of you bitterness and jealously aimed at Ron Bernth and tell us what each pellet means to you…

  6. Tax Boy says:

Let’s see, you don’t live in Hudson but you know all sorts or people who do including many teachers. Then you say you work with a number of school superintendents but you have nothing to do with education. Then you say that Weese and Baker are arrogant and have personally attacked the school board! Gig is up dratsum!
