jb Hey You All in St. Croix County... Im BackYes, It’s true. I’ve returned to educate the citizens of St. Croix County about the unconstitutional underbelly of their local government. The government types have found it their privy to spend and raise hard working citizens taxes unconstitutionally (YOURS), when there are record numbers in foreclosures, property devaluation, layoffs, and unemployment.

Did you see your last property tax bill? The government’s ever increasing confiscation of citizen’s personal property via taxation (which most even don’t understand how they occur) infringe upon the rights of citizens to do what they want with their own property, their liberty at the expense of their socialistic ideal of the common good, and their mandate to fund socialistic ideals they may not agree with at the point of cohesion (jail via the tax code), is shining bright. Many of the government ilk are even raising their own salaries with NO input from you. In fact, it won’t even be allowed to be debated. They will easily be exposed. Stay tuned… I will reveal all.

It is Time to use the N-Word

After the United States Senate passed its version of nationalized healthcare, Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky warned Democrats that they would catch an earful from constituents. Several neighbors have already sent scorching emails to Senators Feingold and Kohl and Representative Ron Kind.

The correspondences berated these Wisconsin representatives for their yes vote on several fronts ranging from the havoc government run health care will bring to medical care, the cost, and the Constitutionality of it all. These arguments were well vocalized at town hall meetings during the congressional summer recess and tea party rallies. Even recent opinion polls have reflected distaste for government-run healthcare by a vast majority of respondents. Despite all of this, the Democrats turned their backs and voted aye.

No reason exists to believe that votes will be switched before the final conference bill comes to the respective floors of Congress just because representatives receive an additional load of outraged public sentiment. It is obvious the Senators and House members who support the legislation do not care about opinions, economic logic, or the Constitution they swore to uphold and defends (to be fair, the Republicans have not shown any adherence to the Constitution either).

Some believe the wrath of 2010 elections will bring a dramatic realignment in Congress and the possibility that health care legislation in part or whole will be rescinded; unfortunately, the numbers damper such wishful thinking. Republicans plus any moderate Democrats will need to control two-thirds of the seats in both houses of Congress in order to override a certain Presidential veto. The odds of this happening are about the same as an individual hitting Powerball.

But not all is lost and the country does not need to blindly follow the path of Washington D.C. Letters need to be written and emails sent to state representatives urging one of two actions. Article I, Section 8, Clause 1 states,

all Duties, Imports, and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States

The special treatment exempting Nebraska from future Medicare tax increases in order to garner the vote of Senator Ben Nelson is one of the more egregious usurpations of the Constitution ever witnessed. The state of Wisconsin and the other 48 states must bear the costs of federal law for the Cornhusker state. Our elected officials in Madison should not stand idle while the citizens of Wisconsin shoulder the burden for the special exemption of another state. For me and my neighbors, emails need to bombard the in boxes of Kitty Rhoades in the State Assembly and Shelia Harsdorf in the Senate demanding that they protect the people of Wisconsin from this legislation. The state legislature needs to file suit with the US Supreme Court and ask that the healthcare bill with its Nebraska exemption be declared unconstitutional. Read More→

Issues Advisory Memorandum to Prosecutors and Law Enforcement

Yesterday, Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen (R) released an Advisory Memorandum of great interest and importance to Wisconsins law-abiding gun owners.

The Attorney Generals memorandum states that it is not unlawful to openly carry a firearm in the state of Wisconsin and that those persons who choose to do so should not be charged with disorderly conduct.

This issue has come up numerous times over the last several months in the Badger State. Several cases have been heard but not a single judge has found reason or precedent to prosecute these law-abiding citizens.

Hudson Tea Party set for April 15th

Posted by: Curt Weese | Comments (0)

Kudos to my neighbors Stan & Mary Wekkin for organizing a Tea Party rally in North Hudson next Wednesday. The rally is set to take place at Mudds & Sudds from 4-6 p.m.

“This is our opportunity to remind the government that they work for us; we pay their salaries.” said Stan Wekkin

“Many of us have learned the hard way that debt catches up to you. When will our elected officials understand that?” asked Mary Wekkin

All area residents are invited to participate. The Wekkins have stated that this is a non-partisan event and if you are inclined to bring a sign please respect their wishes and make the sign non-partisan reflecting your feelings about taxes, spending and debt.

Future Tea Party rallies are being scheduled for Independence Day, Labor Day and Election Day.

State Senator Spencer Coggs (D-6) and State Representative Leon Young (D-16) have introduced a proposal that would ban the sale of all new semi-automatic pistols not equipped with so-called micro-stamping technology. While this proposal has not officially been introduced as a bill, supporters are trying to gather co-sponsors.

Micro-stamping is an unproven technology that would require unique identifying information from the firearm, including the make, model, and serial number, to be etched into the firing pin and breech face in such a manner that those identifiers are imprinted on the cartridge case upon firing. This technology can easily be defeated with common household tools, has no public safety value, and adds substantially to the cost of the firearm.

Under this proposal, it will become ILLEGAL to sell or transfer any new semi-automatic pistol that is not capable of micro-stamping a cartridge case upon firing.

Please contact your State Legislators TODAY and respectfully encourage them to not co-sponsor or support this anti-gun proposal. Please click here to find contact information.

In a disturbing move aimed at making gun ownership even more difficult and costly in the Badger State, Governor Jim Doyles (D) budget bill would raise the background check fee on handguns from $8 to $30. Governor Doyle is insisting that gun owners pay over three times more for a background check before they can exercise their Second Amendment rights.

Please respectfully urge your state legislators to oppose Governor Doyles unfair and unjust gun tax. Your State Senator can be reached by phone at (608) 266-2517. You can reach your State Representative at (608) 266-1501. To identify your legislators and to find more contact information, please click here.

We also encourage you to attend hearings on the budget by the Joint Finance Committee and express your opposition to any increase in the background check fee. There are two hearings scheduled for this week and three more scheduled for next week:

Malinvestment

Posted by: Henry Patrick | Comments (0)

According to estimates provided by Politico.com, the final tab rung up by candidates, political parties, and advocacy groups for the 2008 election amounted to over $5 billion. What was the product of this massive expenditure? Campaign literature piled on trash heaps; metal buttons with stick pins so large that an individual would be detained at an airport for carrying a lethal weapon; bumper stickers plastered on the rear of cars that now render the automobile looking like a piece of junk, yard signs either thrown in the trash or used to start a fire outdoors; and hours and hours of hot air. The financial tally for the election does not take in to account the countless hours spent by volunteers.

Billions Wasted

After expending billions of dollars and thousand upon thousands of hours in labor, the net outcome to society was junk; junk mail, junk metal, junk cars, junk cardboard, and junk oratory.

The waste of money and time is done in the name of making society better. Along with the time, most of the money was given through voluntary donations. The $5 billion spent on the hopes of improving the country could have rescued several thousand mortgages of $250,000 and less. The miles walking door to door could have delivered food or aid to those in need. The money and labor now relegated to the junk heap once held the potential for satisfying the wants and needs for many.

Conservation of precious resources is the key to long-term economic growth. Yet, every few years as a nation we throw vast sums of financial and human capital away producingnothing.

Politics has become the quintessential malivestment that destroys scarce capital and liberties.

The Immorality of Democracy

Posted by: spiritofpublicus | Comments (2)

I would rather be ruled by one tyrant three thousand miles away than three thousand tyrants not a mile away.

Though the origin of this witticism is in doubt, it aptly sums the fears that the founders had about democracy. I virtually cringe every time when someone wistfully sings about the virtue of democracy. Today, the act of voting is paramount to hiring a thief.

Unwilling to attain their dreams either through personal sacrifice or effort, many will line up at the voting booth in hopes that the results of an election will turn wishful thinking into reality.

The defeated library referendum is a case in point. Several thousand people across the joint library district voted in favor of the ten million dollar project. If these people felt the need was so great, than why didnt they show real philanthropy and true benevolence by donating $4,000 each. Some certainly could give more than others. Instead of reaching for their wallets supporters, including city councilman OMalley, found it easier to reach for a gun and attempt a stick-up. Fortunately, the intended victims taxpayers jammed the trigger.

The following video of an Obama supporter is the quintessential illustration of the perils found in democracy. Through Obama she believes the worries of paying a mortgage and the gas in her car will be relieved. Can the electoral process degenerate any further?

Does this remind you of something?

1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
2. procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.
3. (in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.

Kindness in a Peach Basket

In a display of grand political theater, the President, Vice-President, Governor Schwarzenegger, the presumed Republican nominees and a host of other politicians from both parties have made a mad dash toward the Gulf Coast to lend their support with the approach of hurricane Gustav. But what exactly type of hand can these people offer.

Perhaps they can in unison blow massive amounts of hot air, which none of them have a shortage of, toward the storm, and thus cause the hurricane to spin back out over warm waters. A trick that Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Paulsen have managed to do several times with the approaching financial storm front. Of course blowing a hurricane back over warm waters just makes the spiraling devil much stronger.

Maybe the political gathering with its massive amount of personal wealth is at the ready to throw some cash at those affected by the path of destruction. Departing with a mere fraction of their fortunes would be enough to buy generators, food, clothing, and building materials for the misfortunate. Instead of shaking the hands of those flooded from their homes, the candidates and current office holders could be seen handing out personal checks.

It is silly to believe that a politician can change the weather and even more ridiculous to think that one would voluntarily forfeit some personal riches. These electoral scammers are running as fast as their private jets will take them to Louisianan, Mississippi, or Texas for one purpose; to grab headlines with faces of heart felt compassion. In the end it will be compassion forcibly paid for by me and you. Read More→

KELO On Steroids

The House of Representatives, under a bill authored by Democrat-Socialist James Oberstar of Minnesota, is poised to seize control of all land in the United States of America. That’s: All land.

I’ve heard and listened about Jimbo Oberstar for many years, via Jason Lewis, and Oberstar’s recent press does not shine a good light in anyones eye. So it continues… And the co-sponsor on this bill, RUSS FEINGOLD. HO-LY S***! As The Objective Eye says:

"What it says, essentially, is that any land that has water on it at any given time, would belong to the government, not its rightful owner." This is an activist moment, folks – get up and flood your elected officials’ email inboxes, voicemail and phone lines with opposition to this noxious, gargantuan power-grab by the eco-wackos in government, HR2421.
