The travesty in this case is the juxtoposition of Kerry with Lt. Bush. Imagine for a moment in May of 1970, when Kerry was in France cavorting with the communist element from Vietnam (N and S) George W. Bush was flying his F102A Interceptor down at Ellis Air Base in Houston, TX. Also, at that time, there were American soldiers held captive in Vietnam. Then, just a year later, Kerry is back in the USA testifying before Fullbright, et al impugning the reputations of fellow vets. Unfit? You bet!
