Market Solutions to Education

By

Thank you Craig Westover ! You have hit the nail on the head. Choices, regardless of income level, market demands, and options are the key words. You see, BorderLiners are not the only one proclaiming market solutions.

A good public education system is one that considers “public education” to include government schools, charter schools, private schools, religious schools and methods of education not yet conceived and facilitates family options to choose from among them regardless of income level. It provides many choices that fall both on the traditional and progressive ends of the spectrum. It responds instantly to market demands for change, and when changes don”t work, parents have immediate options. When changes do work, school administrators have the immediate opportunity to incorporate them.

Read Craig Westover’s blog article called “Public education — One play book doesn’t fit all” and read the comment I left over there.

Craig’s entry is great. He is a talented writer and a sound thinker. He is echoing what some of us out here have been advocating for at least a year…

I say welcome Mr. Westover to front lines of the battle – he brings with him needed cannon and intellectual supplies!
