		<description>I&#039;ll also vote for Senator Zell Miller [D-GA].  He voted conservative so many times they asked him why he didn&#039;t become a Republican.  &quot;I was born a Democrat, I was married as a Democrat, and I became Governor of Georgia as a Democrat and I&#039;ll die a Democrat.  

One chapter &quot;49 beats 51--the strange math of the Senate&quot;  in his book, &quot;A National Party No More,&quot; the Conscience of the Conservative Democrat, he wrote that he was tired of the filibuster rule used to stop votes in the Senate and keep bills bottled up in committees. 

And who can forget his stirring speech at the 2002 Republican convention.
