It looks like the school administration in New Richmond could similarly be guilty of “predatory bonding,” where disreputable administrators, school board members, and “Vote Yes” advocates convinced innocent rubes to sign on for a bonding referendum they could not afford. Look for a lot more foreclosure actions come next year, after the bills start coming in for these white elephants. Meanwhile, you’ll never get a straight answer from the NRSD regarding enrollment. Here’s an idea: New Richmond should lease out unused/underutilized classroom space to neighboring communities which, unencumbered with huge new real estate taxes, actually are growing.
