ByHudson School Board Seeks Public Input
Annette Cook, Hudson School Board President, has announced the beginning of a search for a new superintendent. Current Superintendent, Dr. Ron Bernth, has announced his retirement after serving the Hudson School District for 17 years. The Hudson Board of Education has chosen the Wisconsin Association of School Boards to assist in designing a search process that includes Hudson parents and members of the community who want to contribute to this important process.
Focus groups will be conducted on Monday, January 10 and Tuesday, January 11, 2005. The focus groups will help the Board in developing a candidate profile, application essay questions, interview questions, and screening forms. This process will help find the candidate who will best match the needs of the Hudson School District.
Anyone who lives in the district and wishes to participate in a focus group is welcome to attend one of the open community forums scheduled on Monday, January 10 at 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 11 at 9:00 a.m. The forums will be held at Willow River Elementary Lee Auditorium.
If you wish to participate, but cannot attend either of the scheduled community forums, contact the district – Personnel Office at 715-386-4903. Arrangements can be made for you to answer questions in writing.
The Board urges everyone interested in the district – future to participate in this important task.

NEWS FLASH!!!
ByCalling all citizens, there is an immediate need for a new Hudson school board president! The current president is incapable of making a decision on her own and needs to be replaced! If you live within the Hudson school district boundaries and are interested in being part of a focus group to discuss this urgent matter please feel free to show up.
Focus group discussions will be taking place this Friday and Saturday night at Dick’s Bar from 7:00 p.m. until closing. This is an important decision that will affect the lives of our children for years to come, so please show up and do your part!

I think this is filed wrong. I believe it should be under education only. There is nothing funny about this. It is only a replication of how we replace superintendants in this district.

Does the school board do anything anymore? It’s amazing that we have to involve the whole community to hire a superintendent, yet we can spend $70 million with a handpicked task force. You just can’t make this stuff up fast enough.
