Hey, does this mean we don’t get to see the superintendent in the middle of the high school hallway with all the kiddies going between classes? Remember Ron Bernth on t.v. being interviewed in the hallway with the students in between classes? They said 4 years ago that the growth was at the MIDDLE SCHOOL and the HIGH SCHOOL. Now they tell us that it’s at the ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS?

What I see in the stats you linked in Elk River MN is a referendum for two elementary schools, a middle school and one high school. Sounds lik New Richmond WI. We’re looking at $75 to 100 million , folks.
The magic number 600 for the maximum practical capacity of an elementary school has been batted around New Richmond for some years. If you’re interested go visit MN District 916, Valley Crossing Community School in beautiful Woodbury MN, student population: 900 in K-6. They have three “neighborhood” schools in three wings, team teaching with honor roll students, 80 percent compared to state average of 40 percent.
I guess I got a bum education then. My school had waaaayyy more than 600 and my classes (K-6) had 30+ students. However, I found the office with no problem, knew most the teachers aand went on to graduate and go to college. They would have really hated my highschool! I had some classes with 40+ students!!!!!
I don’t think she wants it to work here, but look what I found from where she came: Story
