Why should the liberals show up now? They got their wish and now control the board, not via an open and fair election but via mob rule. They’re not interested in “direction” unless it means the direction of the pay and benefits!
What Saturday meeting?
There was a goal setting meeting Saturday, August 26th at (I believe) 8:30am to determine goals for the New Richmond School District.
I got there about 11:00am. John Ashley, executive director of WASB helped the four board members with the procedures of selecting three new members to fill positions of those who resigned. There were no goals set other than dates for applications, interviews, discussions to weigh the candidates’ qualifications and then the swearing in on 9/18.
Participants felt that the full board should set goals and take ownership of them. This is reasonable.
