Jack may have been a really great guy but had his civil rights been violated in the same manner he would have sued as well. It’s a shame the board did not know who they were hiring when they hired the previous superintendent. They could have saved millions. Don’t point the blame at Wanda Erwin.
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but from what I read, Wanda Erwin wanted to retire, but someone on the school board had it in for her and fired her so that she couldn’t collect all of her retirement pay.
On that note, I find it amazing that the local school boards pay exorbitant amounts of money for other teachers and administrators to retire early, but not Wanda. It would have been much easier to let her go away quietly in retirement, then to fire her, knowing the possibility of a lawsuit.
