Shucked Corn
ByNo better validity exists for your viewpoint, then when the voice of the opposition admits to being hoodwinked.
While purchasing a book at Borders this past weekend, I happened to notice the cover of Time Magazine. Their featured article discussed the scam of biofuel development, particularly that involving ethanol. To paraphrase the Time’s article, the only thing biofuels accomplish is jacking up food prices.
This comes as no surprise to those with a scintilla of scientific or economic logic, which includes many on this site who have disrobed this boondoggle for several years.
Now that the voices on left have come to their senses, you would hope that our politicians would call for an immediate end to government support for this nonsense. But I wouldn’t hold your breath.
After all, Congress with the blessings of the President recently passed legislation calling for an exponential increase in biofuel production. We wouldn’t want to disappoint all those farmers and big agricultural companies, would we?
It would be nice here locally to hear from Miss Ethanol, Sheila Harsdorf, her admittance that she failed to recognize the truth about ethanol. But why let the truth get in the way of a grab-bag of taxpayer money for family and friends.
The supposed benefits of ethanol are a lie. And those that continue to espouse its benefits are liars, which include most of those affiliated with government.
