Hello. Hello, anybody out there? We;re ignoring the biggest change in Wisconsin taxes since the start of income taxes. Healthy Wisconsin (HW), a universal socialist European/Canadian style health care boondoggle, as proposed by the Senate Democrats will make state health insurance mandatory for every working person in Wisconsin. Well, not everybody, the teacher;s are excluded because, according the Senator Jon Erpenbach (D-27th dist. state Senator), they are under the QEO and are below the average wage compared to other states. I kid you not.

The $15 Billlliiiooon program will be run by a committee of 16 composed of:

4 labor or union members,
4 business and employer representatives,
1 public school teacher labor representative,
1 small business member,
2 farmers,
1 self employed member, and
3 representatives of health care consumer organizations.

Can you imagine turning over $15B to a bunch of amateurs to run a health care organization?

And why is the teacher;s union part of the committee? They are exempt.

Private insurance companies are not turned loose to package insurance contracts to fit the consumer(sick person) What’s wrong with HSA’s or major medical policies? What about paying cash if one can afford it? My major medical contract with Bankers Life consisted of two pages.

It’s one size fits all. I don’t want to pay for AIDS, recreational drugs, and cosmetic surgery, drugs, alcohol, and mental cases. Too bad. Call me heartless.

With 5 unions and 3 health care consumer organizations on the committee they will push this totally to the left. Anybody think HW will cost only $15B?

There are no doctors and hospital administrators on the committee. We trust doctors with our lives, but the Senate figures they will screw us if on a health committee. And HW will tell doctors what they are charge for their services.

If HW becomes law, doctors and nurses will organize and we can forget about one on one with our family physician.

Next meeting is on Sept 25th at WITC in New Richmond. Let;s try to cut the legs off of HW before it snowballs.
