Fingerprints vs. Coincidence

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Ya know, I just love a good ole fashioned knock down drag out anthropogenic catastrophic global warming fistfight! And one need go no further than Dr. Roy Spencer’s blog..

So, without further ado here’s a taste and a link:

“Many papers indeed have claimed to find a human “fingerprint”, but upon close examination the evidence is simply consistent with human caused warming — while conveniently neglecting to point out that the evidence would also be consistent with naturally caused warming. This disingenuous sleight-of-hand is just one more example of why the public is increasingly distrustful of the climate scientists they support with their tax dollars.”

Let the hair-raising begin!

Global Warming is a ‘Phony Mess’

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Texas governor Rick Perry’s bid for the Republican expected nomination has cheered climate sceptics who share his view that global warming is a ‘phony mess’

Perry calls global warming “all one contrived phony mess that is falling apart under its own weight.” Unlike many of the other GOP presidential candidates, he hasn’t expressed concern about climate change in the past, so he won’t have to do any back-pedaling. Notorious climate denier Marc Morano is a big fan: “Based on climate views alone, anyone who is holding their nose voting for Mitt Romney because there’s no other viable candidate will now rejoice to have an option with Rick Perry.”

It’s Fat Albert!

FA is, well, getting fatter. FA has made a fortune off of the Global Warming scam due in no small measure from government hacks (and others with very small brains) who have been able to institute public policy to get taxpayer money. Al Gore is nothing more than a common thief running a very effective money scam.

“Anyone who claims more tornadoes are caused by global warming is either misinformed, pandering, or delusional.”

Dr. Roy Spencer, Ph.D.

Anyone who claims tornadoes are caused by God (whatever that means) is simply delusional, pandering, or still suffering from the religious indoctrination and brain slanting suffered in childhood..

Wipe My Butt

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Ronald Reagan once said that government believes if it moves then tax it. I don’t think the “Gipper” was thinking of bowel movements. Some Mayor from Nebraska has actually proposed putting a tax on sitting in the bathroom. Well the actual idea is to tax toilet paper. Man that hits me in the wallet.
Crap Tax

I remember someone saying that if you want less of something, then tax it. I started to think (standing up) about this. A tax on toilet paper could have some serious hygiene issues. We will either buy less toilet paper or do less wiping. In the end (hehehe), a little TC humor, I would suspect some poop may be left behind (hehehe). So the next time someone talks about sitting next to some smelly ass, they actually may mean it literally.

Now of course when you are roughing it in the woods, only a wimp would bring along their own roll. In nature one must improvise. Just watch out for the poison ivy. One time my friend Tom used the wrong leaf. His rear was slathered in pink calamine lotion for weeks. We nicknamed him “baboon butt”.

I am sure some women’s group will find the TP tax as a form of discrimination since women use the Charmin for number one and two where men can just shake it off, number one that is. Though without toilet paper, we could have a new dance called the Number 2 or the Wipeout.

I am sure the environmental nuts, like a local lawyer, find the idea of less toilet paper as another means to combat global warming, We will have waterless toilets filled with paperless poop. I guess we need to back to the days of the outhouse.

A tax on toilet paper is the final straw. Government can kiss my ass, wipe my ass, but it needs to keep its nose out of my ass business.

Failed Intellect

Posted by: | Comments (1)

Some posts that take exception on how Roy Sjoberg conducts his personal life misses a bigger point. Roy has shown over the last few years to support ideas harmful to the economy and personal freedoms. The following is a brief list of Roy’s agenda:

At a TABOR meeting he stated that the citizens of Wisconsin do not pay enough taxes. I suppose because they don’t have to pay more taxes is why businesses shy away from relocating to the state.

duh duh1 300x158 Failed IntellectAt a school board meeting, Roy led the charge for the teaching of global warming. I am sure he believes that warming causes cooling too. I guess economics and science is not his strong suit.

He helped head the push for the new library location even after it was obvious the joint library board would run out of money. As President of the library board, he has constantly campaigned for increase taxes to fund the library. Despite crying about a lack of money for books, Roy budgeted over $40,000 for a consultant. Not only does he lack economic or scientific intellect, he appears to have missed the concepts of addition and subtraction in second grade.

A couple weeks ago, Roy marched to the microphone to support the teachers that illegally walked out. All right, few people can be knowledgeable in economics, science, mathematics and the law. But he is a lawyer!

People following his lead are walking down a path of stupidity. Perhaps Roy should stick to things he knows. Other writers have covered that subject before.

soho 195 150x150 *Breaking News* New Study: 50 Years Of Cooling Ahead!

50 years of cooling predicted by a newly released, peer reviewed, article.

Cosmic rays and chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), both already implicated in depleting the Earth’s ozone layer, are also responsible for changes in the global climate, a University of Waterloo scientist reports in a new peer-reviewed paper.

“Most remarkably, the total amount of CFCs, ozone-depleting molecules that are well-known greenhouse gases, has decreased around 2000,” Lu said. “Correspondingly, the global surface temperature has also dropped. In striking contrast, the CO2 level has kept rising since 1850 and now is at its largest growth rate.”

In his research, Lu discovers that while there was global warming from 1950 to 2000, there has been global cooling since 2002. The cooling trend will continue for the next 50 years, according to his new research observations.

As well, there is no solid evidence that the global warming from 1950 to 2000 was due to CO2. Instead, Lu notes, it was probably due to CFCs conspiring with cosmic rays. And from 1850 to 1950, the recorded CO2 level increased significantly because of the industrial revolution, while the global temperature kept nearly constant or only rose by about 0.1 C.

The Alarmists are the Science Deniers

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Well, this approach of Mr Schmidt might be one of the reasons why his personal opinions about the climate and the opinions of his comrades at RealClimate.ORG are scientifically worthless piles of crap. The more science will know about Nature, the more crappy the opinions of similar zealots who are not ready to adjust their opinions will be. If you try to quantify how much this particular paper changes the numbers relevant for the climate sensitivity, it is fair to say that 5-10 papers like that are able to change the numbers by something of order 100%. In a year or two, our understanding may be very different if we’re doing things right. It’s therefore damn important for climate science to (critically) read and (rationally) process such papers!

Luboš fisks Mr. Schmidt and RealClimate.ORG on ignoring new findings that would upset their climate models. It turns out that what is said to be the number 3 greenhouse gas ozone is being destroyed by a factor of 50% more above the tropical Atlantic Ocean than previously thought. So what does Mr. Schmidt say?

… Yet this is completely misleading since neither climate sensitivity nor CO₂ driven future warming will bePhytoplankton surprisingly destroys a lot of ozone at all affected by any revisions in ozone chemistry – mainly for the reason that most climate models don’t consider ozone chemistry at all. Precisely zero of the IPCC AR4 model simulations (discussed here for instance) used an interactive ozone module in doing the projections into the future.

So let’s just ignore ozone or 10% of what is considered greenhouse gasses in our models! When science discovers new findings we have to at least account for them in our hypothesis and models and research the variations. To not look at or use new discoveries that don’t fit the political landscape, and that what Global Warming is, it’s nothing about science or the earth, is as Luboš say’s, a pile of crap. It’s the alarmists who are the science deniers.

See Phytoplankton surprisingly destroys a lot of ozone and Tropical ocean sucks up vast amounts of ozone

Reisman: A Word to Environmentalists

Posted by: | Comments (1)

The “extremists” among you openly call for the death of 1 to 6.4 billion human beings. The “moderates” among you openly call for the forced reduction in carbon dioxide emissions of 90 percent within a few decades, which would serve to reduce energy use almost to the same extent. Such a severe reduction in energy use follows from the fact that there are no presently existing large-scale viable alternatives to fossil fuels other than atomic power, which is regarded by most members of your movement as a death ray and is opposed more vehemently than fossil fuels. Furthermore, the likelihood of ever finding and developing such alternatives will be greatly reduced by destroying the energy sources we do have and need to increase. So what your movement advocates is mass death or, at the very least, dreadful mass impoverishment whose outcome will be tens or hundreds of millions of unnecessary deaths and a life of misery for those who survive.
