Cain The Mystic – Obama Will Win.

Posted by: | Comments (0)

ATLANTA (AP) — Republican Herman Cain said God convinced him to enter the race for president, comparing himself to Moses: “‘You’ve got the wrong man, Lord. Are you sure?’”
The Georgia business executive played up his faith Saturday after battling sexual harassment allegations for two weeks, trying to shift the conversation to religion, an issue vital to conservative Republicans, especially in the South.

NOTA is surging in the polls once again. This sort of evangelical nitwittery is almost certain to guarantee the re-election of Barrack Obama.

The only candidate now who has a chance (since the GOP refuses to acknowedge the existence of Gary Johnson) is Mitt Romney – a Mormon who says he is true to his faith.

Check that, Obama wins a second term. You heard it here first…

Attention GOP: The Proper Immigration Policy

Global Warming is a ‘Phony Mess’

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Texas governor Rick Perry’s bid for the Republican expected nomination has cheered climate sceptics who share his view that global warming is a ‘phony mess’

Perry calls global warming “all one contrived phony mess that is falling apart under its own weight.” Unlike many of the other GOP presidential candidates, he hasn’t expressed concern about climate change in the past, so he won’t have to do any back-pedaling. Notorious climate denier Marc Morano is a big fan: “Based on climate views alone, anyone who is holding their nose voting for Mitt Romney because there’s no other viable candidate will now rejoice to have an option with Rick Perry.”

Read Rick Perry to delight climate sceptics by running for president

Folks, if you thought the GOP was pushing to NOT raise the debt ceiling you would be both wrong and naive. As I pointed out in my previous post, Paul Ryan had already stipulated this way back in January. Little Chuckie Schumer thought he was being cute this week by intimating that just last week the GOP had gone down this road. Chuckles needs to do some fact checking, or come out here OTBL for real enlightenment!

Now I have some numbers to compare to my estimate of 2.5 to 5.0 trillion. Of course, I was talking about this next year assuming that would be the end of it for the foreseeable future. Below are the Ryan numbers right out of the proposed legislation he is running around Wisconsin advertising..

My admonition regarding taking him seriously as a bold fiscal conservative stands. I see no long term commitment whatsoever to reducing (reforming) the size of government at the federal level.

Here is a portion of the actual text. You can look at the whole plastic bananna budget proposal here. Please note that I have added in parenthesis the annual increase.. All told, Ryan’s plan increases the debt limit just shy of 9 trillion dollars in 10 years..

CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
Establishing the budget for the United States Government
for fiscal year 2012 and setting forth appropriate budgetary
levels for fiscal years 2013 through 2021.

(5) DEBT SUBJECT TO LIMIT.—Pursuant to
23 section 301(a)(5) of the Congressional Budget Act
24 of 1974, the appropriate levels of the public debt are
25 as follows:

1 Fiscal year 2012: $16,204,000,000,000….(+ 1.9 trillion
2 Fiscal year 2013: $17,177,000,000,000….(+ .973 trillion
3 Fiscal year 2014: $17,955,000,000,000….(+ .778 trillion
4 Fiscal year 2015: $18,704,000,000,000….(+ .749 trillion
5 Fiscal year 2016: $19,513,000,000,000….(+ .809 trillion
6 Fiscal year 2017: $20,257,000,000,000….(+ .744 trillion
7 Fiscal year 2018: $20,981,000,000,000….(+. 724 trillion
8 Fiscal year 2019: $21,711,000,000,000….(+ .730 trillion
9 Fiscal year 2020: $22,416,000,000,000….(+ .705 trillion
10 Fiscal year 2021: $23,105,000,000,000…(+ .689 trillion

In all fairness to Rep Ryan, I understand why this is in here. He is doing this so as to inoculate himself and the GOP from hysterical criticism for not compromising towards the Democrat’s overt statist position. However, and this is the troubling part for me, Mr. Ryan also caved in on the whole bailout bash not all that long ago.

This has become his unfortunate trademark now, he talks a fiscally conservative line (and even issues copies of Atlas Shrugged to his staff) , but clearly isn’t crafting legislation in concert with either. Compromise toward what he ought to (and I suspect he does) understand is evil is not leadership, it is foolish. Our personal interests (values if you will) are not advanced for the long run by going down this path!! In fact, it is a clear and present detriment towards the attainment of long run, rational values – all of it enforced at the proverbial point of a gun. That is evil.

Was informed of this story and read the JS Online story (here).

The linked story reveals problems on multiple levels. First of all, we have a DUI medal winner here (Let’s call it the “purple heart of drunken driving” and refer to it as PHDD) who’s father is a crony capitalist. Brian Deschane, the PHDD recipient, is a college drop-out who one could surmise couldn’t cut college level work because instead of working his ass off in school he was out getting smashed. So, instead of doing the moral and proper thing as a parent, what does his crony capitalist father do? He rewards his son’s behavior by putting in a good word for him AFTER arranging for massive donations to the Walker political machine! Consider the message this sends folks…just for one cotton pickin minute!!!

Secondly, this whole issue illustrates the obscene situation in state government. The mere fact that there are $75,000 + per year jobs like this to hand out is totally beyond the pale. Rather than eliminate such government nonsense, the Walker crew perpetuates it. I know, this is just one job.. But isn’t that the whole problem?

This story reveals wrongs on so many levels, but once again illustrates and reaffirms my unalterable view of the Wisconsin GOP. It is chock-full O’ nuts! Oh, they occasionally talk a good game but when push comes to shove they retreat, or find themselves without the philosophical basis that would give them the fortitude to actually do the right thing. Frankly, most don’t know what “the right thing” is on balance.

Oh, you say, it’s just a little bit of winner take all-ism by the Walker crew. And after all, all of us GOP people, we all go to church every Sunday, and, you know, we’re all militant pro-lifers. Ergo, we can do this on our watch because, well, we’re just better people.. All of this makes me intensely ill.

Diana Hsieh has it right. She stated, in her direct-and occasionally vulgar-approach that both the Republicans and the Democrats are “evil statist fucks without the slightest rightful claim to power.” (please note this quote is no longer linkable because Diana’s blog has it, and the related comments, categorized as “defunct comments.” Nevertheless, I applaud her on this because it is so often such an honest appraisal. . . . Full-on agreement here.

I could (and may very well) go further with this one, but I want to do some background digging on this particular story.. For now, I will remain pissed off and am sticking to my angle that this is yet another fine example of bald-faced crony capitalist prostitution by the holier-than-thou GOP gang membership.

Do Not Stand on Principle

Posted by: | Comments (0)

nike just do it1 300x300 Do Not Stand on PrincipleA Dane County judge reaffirmed her recent restraining order regarding the Wisconsin Budget Repair Bill that requires government employees in the state to contribute into health and pension plans plus restricting the ability to bargain benefits. In issuing her second stay of the law, the judge upped the ante by indicating any eventual ruling concerning open meeting laws may not come until the end of May. The timing is obvious as it comes after the election of a State Supreme Court Justice and the recall efforts against eight Republican Senators. The Governor and the GOP controlled legislature have several options to avoid a potential block of the legislation.

Upon reconvening the legislative session this week, the Assembly and Senate could simply pass the bill again; though I would certainly add the police and firefighters to the original bill. At least one Democratic Senator has pledged not to run for the border, which set up the present claim in court now. From what I have gathered, the Governor is reluctant to introduce the bill again on the principle that the court has no jurisdiction concerning the rules of the Senate. Read More→

Newt Gingrich wants to run for President. On March 7th, speaking with Greta Van Appleton, Gingrich was in complete and total support of assassinating the Libyan dictator. Why? Well, the unthinking went like this: Because the dictator of Libya is a thug without the slightest rightful claim to power, and the thug is responsible for a host of terrorist activities covering roughly 40 years, and because of some bizarre concept of a humanitarian crisis in the making, the U.S. is justified in sending troops and spending billions of dollars it doesn’t have to assassinate a tin horn in the North African wastelands.. Folks, there is no end game here. There is no clear and present danger to the U.S. Moreover, this is utterly unconstitutional! If the Libyan thug dictator orders the killing of civilians that’s a moral outrage, but it doesn’t mean we risk the lives of Americans and waste the wealth of America engaging in someone else’s civil war – we have no objective interest in Libya. Moreover, we don’t even know who the other side is in this matter! We have more reason to bomb the headquarters of WEAC than we do Tripoli!!

Then, on March 23, he totally flips. Apparently, Newt saw the irrational, unconstitutional, upshot of his March 7th comments…

Moreover, this interventionist nonsense in Libya raises far more important and fundamental issues as noted by Elan Journo precisely on Tuesday:

” When our interests are at stake — as they were and are in Iran — we hold back and appease. When someone else’s interests appear to be on the line (the rebels and civilians in Libya), we dutifully scramble jet-fighters and put American lives in harm’s way, for the sake of serving others. Why? That double standard is rooted in the prevalent, and perverse, moral view that permeates our foreign policy — a view requiring that we put the needs of others ahead of our own goals and interests. Acting in accordance with that view — as I argue in my book — has been enormously destructive to American security and freedom, across decades.”

Right on Elan!

Well, all of this simply means another GOP presidential wannabe bites the dust by illustrating an utter lack of a consistent and rational philosophy.. A philosophy sorely needed to lead this nation in the years and decades to come.

So long Newt, I for one won’t miss you.

Who would have guessed a Dane County Judge who is liberal and is friendly with the now departed Louis Butler, places a restraining order on a bill passed by the GOP legislature.

Welcome to the world of ruling from the bench with emotions versus facts….and she quotes….

“It seems to me the public policy behind effective enforcement of the open meeting law is so strong that it does outweigh the interest, at least at this time, which may exist in favor of sustaining the validity of the (law),”

With her quote, she is looking at public outcry versus the actual letter of the law as it stands now. It is not her job to set policy by public opinion, it is her job to enforce the letter of the law as it is now.

Don’t appeal. Just vote again on original bill.

Cry Me A &%#* River!

Posted by: | Comments (1)

46750321 Cry Me A &%#* River!Ole dingy Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), was fire and brimstone today. He was adamant that the Republican budget proposal was ‘mean-spirited’!

Reid said:

Reid: GOP Budget Cuts Would Cut the ‘Cowboy Poetry Festival’

Is &%#* Harry losing it?

Some of the comments:

BY Political Girl on 03/08/2011 at 13:12
No loss, I already cancelled our Las Vegas vacation. There is no way I’ll spend any of my hard earned money in a state that couldn’t find anyone more qualified than Harry Reid. We’re going to visit Phoenix; a city in a state where they understand how to deal with illegals…and we won’t have to confront any Californians (who were boycotting AZ)!

BY Burgher on 03/08/2011 at 15:47
Crazy Harry is off in the atmosphere somewhere, obviously not on Earth.

Personally, I would like to ask for the refund of taxpayer’s money used to finance previous Cowboy Poetry Festivals, because stuff like this has no business using federal funds.

Let the Cowboy Poetry Festival sell tickets and finance itself.

Read Reid attacks GOP budget for trying to cut money for Nevada’s cowboy poetry festival

So what say you all? Who ever can come up with a nice poem with dingy and a cowboy wins a prize?

Fast forward to 6:45 for the bottom line..

Peter is dead-on right here. Folks, the fed is in such a pickle jar now that it is utterly obvious to all except the government union employees :} who continue to pursue the irrational.

By the way, I wager that Schultzy turns on the GOP. It will be the biggest story to hit farmsville since the haymaker.. I’m not sayin, I’m just sayin..

And now, back to the show!

ACTION ITEM:
As mentioned so eloquently by N. Onimous below, Dale Schultz has thrown out a floater about a compromise. Remember his wife is one of those effected by the legislation, a school superintendent. I suggest you call his office, the County GOP members, his wife’s School district headquarters and let it be known you won’t stand for it.

Idaho – Nullification

Posted by: | Comments (0)

I would love to see the domino effect occur here. There are six other states thinking of doing the same; Maine, Montana, Oregon, Nebraska, Texas and Wyoming. Notice that the story cites an obscure 18th century doctrine. It is not so obscure and was first mentioned on these pages two years ago.

“Live Free or Die”… My thoughts exactly!

Sen. Monty Pearce, an Idaho GOP lawmaker who plans to introduce a nullification bill early next week, wanted to be the first one to give Otter a recently published book on the subject, “Nullification: How to Resist Federal Tyranny in the 21st Century.”

But Otter beat him to the punch.

“I took that copy and tried to give it to the governor,” he said, pointing to a copy on his desk. “He already had a copy.”

Sick of just passing largely symbolic resolutions decrying federal encroachment on states’ rights, proponents like Pearce say their bills will ratchet up the pressure on the feds: This isn’t just some piece of paper to wave about; if it passes — and there’s plenty in Idaho to suggest it will — this would become the law of the state, Pearce says.

Must see video

Posted by: | Comments (1)

Let’s see if you meatheads can watch and actually learn something about the revolting people you support – they are called Republicans. And if you support these intellectual misfits (again) then YOU are part of what this video is all about. The coming financial nightmare.

Let’s see ANY OF YOU can come in here and defend these meatheads, and let’s start with GW Bush. Come on, I dare you!!!

My point here is that 90% of those wearing the GOP monicre do not have the knowledge or the desire to correct the fundamental problem.. Just watch what happens in November, more Republicans will get elected and they will support and engage in the very same policies and actions as GW Bush and his gang of religious zealots. It’s not about whether one supported Bush, I readily admit I did at one time. What’s key is recognizing the fundamental philosophical flaws in the stated programs of GOP candidates, admitting they are are seriously and fundamentally flawed, and then be willing to take a new path consistent with the fundamental premise of this nation’s founding. The rational path is there for anyone willing to take it.

This video serves to validate all that some out here have argued about for several years (to those who are new, or who refuse to learn about all that has been covered out here, you need to understand there have been some GREAT lessons in Capitalism and Individual Rights spelled out here over time). Well worth the time to view..

Obama: A Condescending Prick

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Finally, someone in the media with the nerve to articulate the fact that Obama is a condescending prick. Well, that should be obvious…

What’s missing in Charles’s commentary is the fact that such behavior is merely a corollary to the primary fact that he is a pathetic collectivist ideologue. I am certainly not willing to genuflect to the next bible-thumping GOP Fascist, but this Obama cat is quickly becoming an obvious pain in the ass and is tearing the country into pieces..

This is all simply further proof that BOTH the Democrats and the Republicans are, in the words of Dr. Diana Hsieh, “evil statist fucks without the slightest rightful claim to power.”

Thank you, Charles.. AND Diana!
