The Big Lie
Posted by: | CommentsA common lie circulating through Hudson by the “Yes” people supporting the referendum for purchase of the dog track is how a new school will increase property values. A known slime ball lawyer in town apparently used this lie to dupe an old lady into putting a “Vote Yes” sign on her land.
About seven years ago perpetual member and the number one yes bobble head on the school board, Dan Tjornehoj, rationalized higher property taxes caused by school district spending in the following logic: property taxes went up because the value of the houses went up because people were moving in droves to the area because of the quality schools. Okay then, logic dictates that the equation works forwards and backwards. So housing values have been steadily declining over the last five years, which according to the reasoning by the support our government schools crowd means the education quality in the Hudson schools is swirling down the crapper. Of course my property taxes continue to go up. Why would any sane person throw more money down the toilet on what is obviously an inferior school system. Read More→
The Government Does Control Your Child
Posted by: | CommentsThree weeks ago a four year-old girl attending a government-run preschool program had her lunch taken away by a Department of health and Human Services official visiting the school. What did the offending brown bag contain? The homemade lunch consisted of a turkey and cheese sandwich, a banana, potato chips, apple juice, and I am sure a little touch of love.
Since the lunch did not meet government guidelines, the girl was not allowed to eat it. She was provided a bureaucratic lunch that consisted of chicken nuggets.
Yesterday the National Center for Public Policy Research staged a lunch-in to protest the the federal nutrition guidelines that trashed a homemade turkey and cheese sandwich. A quote by one of the lunch-in participants demonstrates the ignorance of parents that turn their children over to the government for education.
“Even though my four-year-old and two-year-old will both be starting at public schools in a few months, I did not agree to let the government make every decision about how they are raised,” said National Center Internet consultant Jennifer Biddison, who is planning to bring her kids to Freedom Plaza for the seditious lunch. “Just because I choose to let government schools teach my kids math and reading doesn’t mean I want them to dictate other things such as how they will eat and how they will dress. I’m quite content with the way I am raising them, and I ask the government to honor my choices in such family matters.”
Government is about control. Bureaucrats harness power by making you dependent on government. They make the rules so you have to depend on them. Bringing a lunch from home shows too much independence. Government hates independent people. Why what would happen to government lunch programs if everyone brought a lunch from home.
The moment your child walks into a government school the parent has lost control. The next time you pack a turkey and cheese sandwich make sure your child is eating it at a private school or the school at home.
Fore!
Posted by: | CommentsThe husband of a government teacher and a vocal mudslinging propoenent for more government school buildings, Bob Muchlinski, unknowingly made the case why taxpayers need to reject the idea of the school district purchasing the dog track. The mudslinger appeared before the City Council complaining that people are using the land where EP Rock is located as a driving range. According to Muchlinski, the practice shots are full swings.
Shank
How far does a full swing golf shot travel? For a decent player a Pitching Wedge will travel through the air about 110 yards or 330 feet. A Seven Iron flies about 150 yards or 450 feet; and a ball struck with a Driver soars 240 yards before hitting the ground. Take a look at our present high school site. I believe an average golfer could hit a 3 Hybrid 200 yards to clear the property from east to west or south to north.
The land at EP Rock would be ideal for a new high school, not that one is needed. The football stadium and track are already located on the site. Of course for Muchlinski, the proximity of the football stadium to his house has been a continued point of contention, which explains his constant harping for a new building along with its own athletic facilities. Furthermore traffic patters are already established and the site is centrally located.
In order to check and see if the EP Rock is suitable we do not need high cost consultants; we only need a few golf clubs. I will be more than happy to serve my community and hit few balls for free. Now if I can just cure my nasty slice, FORE!
The Dumb Trilogy
Posted by: | CommentsWhen dealing with the Hudson Government School Board and administration, the adage seems to be never stop with one stupid idea. I think it was about five years ago when the school district started a course called Freshman Year Initiative or FYI or as I call it Effin –up Youth Indefinitely. The purpose of this waste of time can only be found in the brain of a school counselor that dreams up problems for which there is no problem. `
I am sure these counselors are the same ones that thought up the semi-annual nonsense of adults greeting students in the hallways of our supposedly overcrowded schools. Like any kid is going to be inspired to do better because some want to feel better about myself and get my picture in the paper adult shakes their hands as they come to school.
Convinced that the first two ideas succeeded in getting C- student’s names added to the five pages in the newspaper honor roll announcements, the school district this week announced the third installment of the you gotta be frickin’ kidding me trilogy. The Advisory as they call it compliments FYI, it need s to be insulted like only C- student in counseling could think of something this stupid. It is supposed to help students make the transition from Middle School to High School and from High School to College. What are the new college entrants going to do? Show up at a freshman kegger with Second Choice Two Names. I am sure that will get you laid.
Can’t you imagine the first transition discussion? Now for the boys, it is okay to be a little nervous when first using a urinal that is a little higher than you are used to. For everyone, the secret to getting good grades and having your name in the paper is to take plenty of food and baby-sitting classes plus Spanish from Mr. Ellingson. Read More→
One Guy Spills the Beans
Posted by: | CommentsIf any doubt existed whether the walkout by Hudson teachers on February 18th was a spontaneous spasm of illegality, then a teacher that goes by the blog name of One Guy puts any speculation to rest.
The following is a quote from One Guy (an admitted government union teaching thug) taken from the Hudson Star Observer online chat about the penalties meted out to striking teachers:
One Guy said: On April 15, 2011 at 3:00 PM
John,
Yes, I am a teacher. And in the meeting Scott Ellingson held with us on the afternoon of the 17th it was made quite clear that the Union was asking us to go to Madison to protest against Scott Walker’s tactics and the content of the budget repair bill.
The teachers had no axe to grind with the District. Those who called in sick did so to go protest in Madison against the legislation.
I do not know how many actually went to Madison. I do know that at least 8 people confirmed to me that they had gone to Madison.

Government School Kids Learn Something
Posted by: | CommentsWith local teacher union President and Spanish teacher Scott Ellingson in Madison to protest a bill that would require him to actually pay for something like part of his pension and health insurance, students in Spanish actually learned more than si, grande, and nacho grande. My ciphering calculates that to be 3/5 of word per month. One student’s Spanish improved so much that Taco John hired him to manage the potato oles’. At least now when I pull up to the drive-in window and order a numero dos the kid doesn’t try to take a dump on my car.
The kiddies across the state also learned that it is not about them as in it is about the kids. No it is about their pensions and healthcare and the kids are just shield to hide the thuggery of the teachers unions. The desperate cowards even used the kiddies as protestors. The good thing is that the kids finally got more of an education then they had for the last twelve years listening to some dimwitted, dickless (that goes for the male teachers too) government union teacher.
Listening to these kids out on the street shows what twelve years of government learning can do to a perfectly good brain. You have to love the one kid in this clip” we trying to stop some dude from doing something”. I bet he is on the honor roll!
If you see a teacher, tell them thanks for showing everyone who they really are.
Death by Administration
Posted by: | CommentsThe taxpayers of Hudson, WI are dying a slow death and it’s people like Nancy Sweet that are “administering” the poison. By now most people know about the extraordinary raises that the government school district administrators received. No matter how much spinning Ms. Sweet wants to do, she can’t explain to the average taxpayer why on earth these people are getting filthy rich.
Nancy Sweet, the “District Deputy Director/HR Director” is nothing more than a glorified secretary. She has no discernable skills that would allow her to come even close to earning $175,000 a year. That’s right folks- $175,00 a year! It’s 123,000 in salary and another $52,000 in benefits!</a>
Ms. Sweet can go suck an egg. She is the poster child for what is wrong with government education. She says that the district can’t hire and retain qualified candidates because the salaries are too low! What a crock of shit. How about a 20% pay CUT Nancy? Then you can find out what’s happening in the REAL WORLD, not your little communist utopia.
Just who is Jim B (Bob Muchlinski)?
Posted by: | CommentsWelcome to the readers of the HSO website. We are going to be spending the next week letting you know just exactly who this Jim B. character is. He is none other than Bob Muchlinski, husband of government school teacher Mary Muchlinski. This week on the HSO website Mr. Muchlinski pretends to have “concern” for the Hudson taxpayers. Does he really care about his neighbors and the heavy tax burden that they face? As Bob Muchlinski and his wife benefit from higher and higher taxes, the average citizen is doing well to keep their home.
Today we will show you a video in which Bob Muchlinski lashes out at the Hudson taxpayers and admonishes them for not wanting to pay MORE in taxes. Listen closely as Mr. Muchlinski (or Jim B. as he likes to be called) talks about the “poor, poor, poor, poor, poor, poor, poor Hudson taxpayers”. Listen as Mr. Muchlinski absolutely belittles each and every one of you…..

His speech begins at minute 201. You might have to wait a little while to download the entire video, but it is well worth the wait.
Public Schooling vs. Public Education
Posted by: RexBlue | Comments (34)The following is an excerpt from a commentary piece written by Andrew J. Coulson. Mr. Coulson is, by any account, a brilliant man who has performed over ten years of research and study on market education. His studies and writings clearly show where we need to head as a state and a country in the realm of “public education.” I think it is particularly noteworthy, given the debate that rages in this blog and in our local government school mouthpiece newspaper, the profound distinction between public schooling and public education. The former turns out to be the least effective means of accomplishing the latter. I have to apologize for not having the link to the complete article that appeared in Education Week a couple of years ago. If you are interested in more insights from Mr. Coulson I would recommend his book, Market Education
Are Public Schools Hazardous To Public Education?
By Andrew J. Coulson
History favors a competitive market.
For a diverse nation, we share a remarkable consensus with respect to educating children. As reflected in polls and focus groups, Americans are nearly unanimous in their commitment to certain fundamental ideals: that all children have access to a quality education regardless of family income; that they be prepared for happy and productive lives; that they be taught the rights and duties of citizenship; and that the schools help to foster strong and cohesive communities. These are the ideals of public education. Read More→
