Obama Math
Posted by: | CommentsThe Obama jobs plan has me a bit confused as far as the mathematics. According to the policy outline, the government will spend an additional amount exceeding $400 billion to fund programs that will hire the unemployed. In order to quell the outcry over the plan’s effect on the national debt, Obama has stated that tax increases and certain budget cuts will pay for Keynesian cocktail.
But how will spending $1 and then paying for the $1 by subtracting a $1 equal anything other than zero. In the 1930s, The New Deal embarked upon a massive jobs program to stimulate the economy. In the words of Henry Morganthau the Secretary of the Treasury under Franklin Roosevelt, it did not work. Morganthau said the following about the 1930s era works programs and it mythical success:
“We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. I want to see this country prosperous. I want to see people get a job. I want to see people get enough to eat. We have never made good on our promises. I say after eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started. … And an enormous debt to boot!”
One minus one still equals the same in 2011 as it did in 1939.
Steve Dzubay on Thug Glen Hartman
Posted by: | CommentsNow I get it. No wonder things got out of hand yesterday at the bandshell in Hudson. The uber thug Glen Hartman of the Hudson police was in charge of handling the lunatic liberal Shelly Moore supporters. Far be it for ole Glen to actually enforce the law against his liberal buddies. Nope, nobody can see anything wrong with what happened in the park yesterday.
I can tell you that the one thing completely wrong is that the uber thug Glen Hartman gets to retire from the police force without EVER having contributed to his own pension. That is a contribuation that the taxpayers have made of 18% per year for the while time this wanna be bad boy has been a government thug.
Governor Walker never should have exempted thugs like Glen Hartman from the change in pension contributions. This guy shouldn’t even have a job, let alone a pension.
Steve Dzubay on Margaret Ontl
Posted by: | CommentsThis week in the Hudson Star Observer you will find another outstanding column by Margaret Ontl. Margaret has written some excellent pieces in the past 3 months and this week’s edition is no exception. Hats off to Margaret on a job well done!
I just wish the other writers at Rivertowns had the courage (and knowledge) to write such great columns…..
Trained Pedophiles
Posted by: | CommentsI try my best to avoid flying commercially. The TSA goons are a collective of unemployed perverts that could not hold a real job for more than ten minutes. The only good thing you can say positive about these goons when they are non-working, working is there is at least one less house being robbed or one less rape.
I wonder if this goon wears a court-ordered ankle bracelet.
Teachers Punished by Second-Choice Two-Names
Posted by: | CommentsWhat should be done about the teachers in Hudson that illegally walked off the job last Friday? Well sources tell old TC that the conversation between Superintendant Second Choice-Two names and her trusty propaganda minister Tracy Two-Names went something like this. Hey, if you have two two-names talking in the same room does that make two-names squared. Wow, that must be some pretty powerful thinking.
2nd choice-two-names: Tracy, what are we going to do about the teachers? The phone is ringing off the hook with people wanting us to fire them like that is ever going to happen?
T2-Names: You are right Second-Choice, Ellingson would never let us fire a teacher. But we need to show the community that we mean business when it comes to taking their money for our bullshit curriculum. We need to show whose boss around here.
2nd Choice: This is a quagmire Two-Names. They need to be punished with something that they agree to.
T2-Names: I got it! We will give them a raise.
2nd Choice: We already gave them one. The same time we got raises for our non-productive bullshit jobs
Hey, does two bullshit jobs in the same room equal bullshit squared. That is a lot of bullshit!
T2-Names: I know, I know (that’s I know squared). We can have them come to work on a day they were not suppose to. In other words, a make-up day.
2nd Choice: Great idea! Get President Ellingson on the phone. Scott, Second – Choice here. I was very disappointed in the actions you took last Friday. As a punishment would it be okay if the teachers worked an extra day to make up for it.
Ellingson: Well , that seems a little harsh. How about we come to school an extra day without the kids? That way we can collect our pay for doing what we always do, which is nothing. The kids will be thrilled to not have to go to school. The parents will be happy that their children will have a day of learning.
2nd Choice: Splendid idea.
T2-Names:Splendid Idea (that’s splendid idea squared)
2nd Choice: Thanks Scott.
Oh the pain and agony that the teachers must endure!
Governmentspeak: Jobless Recovery
Posted by: | CommentsSo, what is a “jobless recovery”? Does it stand to reason that you can have an entire economy the size of the United States’ undergo an economic recovery without creating jobs? That, according to some, we simply have a flat job market while other data are showing the economy has recovered?
What sort of convoluted nonsense is this? It’s governmentspeak and don’t believe a word of it!
If the economy were actually, truly, recovering to the point of sustained growth in real GDP (meaning you must take government expenditures out) you would see a net increase in jobs created in the private sector in a significant and sustained way. The fact is, you don’t see this.
Point being here is that this idea of a “jobless recovery” is simply an oxymoron.
