$9,814,864 Mistake – Vote No

Posted by: | Comments (1)

house $9,814,864 Mistake Vote NoLet’s do some math here. It doesn’t even need to be exact. Doesn’t the new math teach us to estimate guestimate anyways? So with the math, I’m going use low figures that even the looting class of this city can’t deny.

65 Acres – Not 1 square centimeter less. Won’t meet minimal requirements.
50 Lots – Maybe more but I’ll use 1.3 acres for a size. Actually most of the housing density in Hudson is half of the 1.3 figure. Again, lets be extremely lenient on this one.
$100,000 – Current taxes being paid on the property.

So lets have some fun with the figures.

property taxes $9,814,864 Mistake Vote No50 Lots @ $3500 annual property tax (City of Hudson portion). = $175,000 Anyway you look at it, this figure is low.

If the property were commercial such as a mall, the figure could be higher, but lets use the $175,000 figure.

So in 15 years that figure would be $303,043. $175,000 with annualized growth of 4% for a grand total of $3,504,128 in collected taxes over that period. 30 years out would be $9,814,864 in collected taxes.

One last figure. The amount of taxes collected if the Hudson School District buys the property. ZERO

We would be morons if we allowed a tax exempt entity to purchase such prime property.

Soon I’ll explore how much taxpayers save for every year we can put off the looting class and their unneeded plans to expand.

Pension Reform is Still Stealing

Posted by: | Comments (0)

This week the Rhode Island Legislature passed government non-worker, worker pension reform that affects both current and future retirees. The unfunded liabilities for the Rhode Island pension system is one of the worst in the nation. In an article published by CNBC on the reform vote, I was struck by a particular comment from House member John Savage, who calls himself a Republican. He said about the reforms, “It may be necessary, but it is certainly not fair.”

What does he mean by not fair; A question that reporters always fail to ask. Is it fair to rip the savings from people working in the private sector in order to redistribute it to government non-worker, workers and thus, denying the real workers the ability to accumulate wealth for their own retirement? Is it fair the savings have been forcibly taken from them, most in the private sector may delay retirement until seventy or eighty years old while the non-worker, worker retires on the backs of the rest us at fifty or fifty-five?

Of course this is not what John Savage was referring to as unfair. When politicians and bureaucratic non-worker, workers talk about unfair, they mean having to forego stealing more from the private sector. It is akin to bank robber calling foul after the bank changed the combination to the safe.

Another interesting statement attributed to opponents of reform cited worries over increasing the retirement age for non-worker, workers, which could increase the chances of injury. What type of injury is possible sitting at a desk and shuffling paper; a paper cut, stapling your sleeves to the desk, or not being able to remove a paper-clip from your finger that you stuck on there as reminder to do something not important?

Opponents to the reform also trembled at the thought of current retirees not receiving cost of living adjustments. I do not see anyone in the private sector receiving cost of living adjustments. Many retirees in the private sector have sought part-time jobs to make ends meet.

But all this talk about non-worker, workers pension reform is still trimming around the edges. The fair solution is that they, like real workers ,have to fend for their own retirement.

Vote NO on River Falls Referendum

Posted by: | Comments (0)

So the big spending lefties are at it again in River Falls.  Enrollment is flat but they need to pass another referendum to make sure we keep “quality” up!  Well you can see by our dismal ACT scores that “quality” sucks in River Falls.  And why is it that they get to keep coming back time and time again for referendums?  They should have to wait several years before trying again, but here we are less than a year after being told no and putting us through another vote.  And they are doing it on an off election year.  The whole school board should be recalled!

Steve Dzubay on Recall Election

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Today is the day to send a message to the government union thug Shelly Moore and her minions by casting your vote for Sheila Harsdorf.  Sheila had the courage and wisdom to fix a $3.6 Billion shortfall WITHOUT raising taxes on the average taxpayer.  Let’s hope a victory by Sheila puts a nail in the coffin of the whole recall B.S.

GO SHEILA!!!!!

Steve Dzubay on Ray Anderson

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Can anyone really believe the letter that was written by Ray Anderson of River Falls this week?

See Letter

Ray makes a worthless attempt at trying to equate the thugs of Nazi Germany with the common sense legislation recently passed by the state legislature.  Just in case Ray wasn’t (or isn’t) paying attention, the unions that the legislature are trying to rein in are the GOVERNMEN T UNIONS!  Doesn’t Ray get it that these unions are bankrupting our state just like the town in Rhode Island?  I say vote Sheila Harsdorf on August 9th!

Does anyone really believe the drivel spewing from the mouth of government thug Katie Thurmes in her recent letter to the editor?

See Letter

Katie Thurmes, Legal Secretary (page 21)

Why doesn’t Katie tell us that she is a government employee and the real reason that she opposes Sheila Harsdorf is because whe finally has to contribute to her pension and a little bit more for her healthcare?  Get over it Katie.  It’s time that the grownups control Madison.  Vote for Sheila on August 9th!

Republican Logic

Posted by: | Comments (1)

On Friday the Republican controlled House of Representatives voted and rejected a resolution that would have given Obama the authority to deploy US troops in Libya. This comes after the Speaker of the House cried illegality over the operations in Libya and that the President had acted contrary to the Constitution.

In a vote taken immediately after the authorization vote, the House of Representatives voted to reject another resolution that would defund the Libyan operation.

So your against the military action, but vote to keep funding it. This is the same logic the Boehner led House used when Republicans postured against Obamacare, but still continues to fund it in the budget.

And you really think this clan is going to hold fast their opposition to raising the debt ceiling.

Secessionists control the majority and vow to hold a vote on separation from the national government. Such a headline must sound like the dream of racists or the people of some African country few could pronounce or even locate.

But the thirst for liberty crosses all boundaries. People seeking to be free from tyrannical governments that oppress individual rights and free markets only hate the intrusions of the bureaucracy.

The next secessionist movement may surprise you.

After Tuesday night’s Wisconsin Supreme Court election, a computer error in heavily Republican Waukesha County failed to send election results for the entire City of Brookfield to the Associated Press. The error, revealed today, would give incumbent Supreme Court Justice David Prosser a net 7,381 votes against his challenger, attorney Joanne Kloppenburg. On Wednesday, Kloppenburg declared victory after the AP reported she finished the election with a 204-vote lead, out of nearly 1.5 million votes cast.

What’s really funny (so far) about this was Klopper’s statement the other night where she discusses why she isn’t concerned about the potential of the very thing that apparently has happened…. du-oh!!

What is Your Plan?

Posted by: | Comments (2)

After casting my vote at the County Building, I approached a young man standing outside collecting signatures for the recall of State Senator Shelia Harsdorf. Since this person and his kind are against the actions taken by the Senator and her Republican colleagues for eliminating the state’s financial mess, then he as a representative of the other side in the battle (not a term used loosely) must have a plan to restore fiscal sanity.

“So what is your plan for eliminating the state’s debt and unfunded pension liabilities,” I queried.

His reply came as no surprise. We don’t need to balance the budget by raising taxes on the middle class, cutting education, and eliminating programs for the needy.

“First of all what tax increases are found in the Budget Repair Bill”, I asked. “Are you telling me that making state non-worker, workers (great description of them towncrier) pay for a portion of their benefits is akin to a tax increase.”

He started to answer my question, but I cut him off when he started down the road of saying yes.

“So again what plan does your side have for dealing with the debt?” I continued to press the question.

He continued talking about raising taxes and having people pay their fair share, but admittedly the plan still needs some work.

“Taxing people and doing nothing about spending, how has that worked out for states like Illinois and California?” I said shaking my head. “In other words, you guys have no plan except to continue down the same path to ruin.” Read More→

Vote Agianst Kloppenberg

Posted by: | Comments (0)

david prosser1 199x300 Vote Agianst Kloppenberg For those who personally know Justice Prosser, it is no surprise that he is not guilty of the actions which the ad alleges. Prosser is a highly respected jurist and person. Hopefully, the voting public will see through this vicious smear campaign and re-elect a thoughtful justice who deserves another 10 years on the bench.

He is endorsed by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, over 65 Sheriffs and DA’s, 85 Wisconsin Judges, and 4 Retired Supreme Court Judges.

Kloppenberg is government lawyer from Madison who has made a career of representing the DNR in lawsuits against farmers, homeowners, and small businesses. Her husband is an UWM professor who is a radical anti-capitalist, -corporate, -intellectual property rights, -biotechnology ideology, and is a contributing writer for the Socialist Review. This IS NOT who we want for this important office.

Barb Van Looney 150x150 Hudson School Board Adopts 4 Corners OffenseIn a cowardly fashion the Hudson School Board has gone into a stall tactic with regards to the contract extension proposal from the teachers. In an attempt to ride the fence and not have to make a tough decision, Barb Van Looney and company have decided to let the clock run out instead of just saying no. The 4 Corners Offense was made famous by Dean Smith of North Carolina and so irritated the other teams in the ACC that they instituted a shot clock which is still in effect. The board is just hoping that the Budget Repair Bill becomes law before they actually have to take a vote. This is a feeble attempt to save face with their cronies in the union and administration. What a bunch of worthless trash….

Sergeant Dale Schultz Mum on Intentions

sen17 Sergeant Dale Schultz Mum on Intentions

Sergeant Dale Schultz (RINO loser from Richland Center) is holding his cards close to his vest. He’s not letting us know how he will vote on the Budget Repair Bill. We all know Sergeant Dale Schultz as the moderate who is married to a school superintendent. He has NO conviction and NO courage. He is a lifelong government employee, just like his wife. He is one of THEM, not one of us. He reminds me of Sergeant Schultz from Hogans Heroes. Watch how this poker game plays out…..

We are in a situation that proves once again the failure of central banking. These know-it-all, self-righteous, punks who serve on the Federal Reserve Boards around the county and, in particular, Heli-Ben, were not planning on passage of the Health Care bill. Please go back and review the odds of this nightmare, this Declaration of American Dependency, passing.. When the Fed was tinkering, dare I say massively intervening into the economy, the chances of passage were very low. There is simply no way they were engaging in policy premised upon passage.

Let me restate this: Do you think that their overt inflation of the money supply would have been altered had they known 12, 18, 24 months ago that passage of this idiotic bill was a certainty???

Ladies and gents, the Fed was in a pickle regardless the outcome of last night’s vote. But now, now we are all in the jar with them and the cover is tightly sealed. You cannot run, you cannot hide. There is no amount of prayer, worship, or meditation that will keep one of the new 16,500 IRS agents from peering into your health care coverage – just to make sure it is “adequate.”

I cannot help but to advise you to run for your life. The lights on that hill that Ronald Reagan spoke about flickered, buzzed, and went completely out last night… we are now officially in the Dark Ages, part deux.

Written by Paul Hsieh, MD

President Obama has finally demanded an “up or down vote” on his health care plan. Republicans have already raised numerous economic and procedural objections, arguing that his plan relies on economic “smoke and mirrors” and that the president is now endorsing the same controversial “reconciliation” process that he denounced in 2005 as a senator as “the wrong place for policy changes.” Yet the president and his supporters remain committed to their goal of government-run “universal health care.” Why is that?

The key is Obama’s declaration, “I don’t know how this plays politically, but I know it’s right.” Ultimately, Obama and his liberal base believe that government-guaranteed health care is a “moral imperative” — i.e., “it’s right.” And that will also be the key to defeating it.

As Leonard Peikoff once wrote, “So long as people believe that socialized medicine is a noble plan, there is no way to fight it. You cannot stop a noble plan — not if it really is noble. The only way you can defeat it is to unmask it — to show that it is the very opposite of noble. Then at least you have a fighting chance.”

Hence, one must challenge ObamaCare not merely on the economic or procedural levels but on the moral level.
