Tim Oâ??Brienâ??s Dog Stops New Elementary School?

By

According to Bob Ziller’s post, it looks like Tim O"Brien, prominent local attorney, member of the School District Land Committee and leader of the Vote Yes NR group may have suggested he might block the use of District owned land that some believe could be used for a new elementary school. And the reason for this â?? O"Brien likes to walk his dog on the same land.
tob Tim Oâ??Brienâ??s Dog Stops New Elementary School?
Could this be true? Could the community be held hostage by Tim O"Brien and his dog?

This same parcel of land, located just north of East Elementary School, has been suggested as a possible site for a new elementary school. Putting aside for a brief moment the need for a new elementary school (with declining student enrollments, dried up real estate market, record number of homes for sale, higher home mortgage interest rates, record number of personal bankruptcies and home foreclosers in St. Croix County), the District already owns the land, and could have no delay in building a new school due to land acquisition issues.

Why would Tim do this? Why, (sob, sniffle, sob) why? I thought he wants the District to move forward. I thought he supported the kids? Please, someone speak to Tim and his dog.

Jack, Tim O’Brien made the off-hand comment to a member of the board with no thought of holding hostage the building of an elementary school. Don’t turn this mole hill into a mountain.
