Twisted Logic

By

School board candidates Tracy Hablisch-Ahlin, Brian Bell, and Priscilla Wyeth have all supported a huge 65 to 85 million dollar building referendum. This referendum proposal is based on their prognostic powers which mystically derive a specific number of students in the Hudson School District ten to twenty years out. It can be reasoned that those citizens who support their cause must therefore believe in the prognostic powers of the aforementioned candidates.

I have noticed around town that a sizeable number of citizens who support our local soothsayers also support Mayer for Mayor. And what is one of the primary themes of Mayer for Mayor? It is exactly what he ran on in the last mayoral election; a moratorium on any future growth in Hudson. So, you have citizens supporting school board candidates based on the candidate – ability to prognosticate growth ten to twenty years in the future and at the same time supporting a candidate who wants no more growth.

All of this leads us to an interesting puzzle. If Mayer is elected Mayor then there is no need to elect Ahlin, Bell, Wyeth, or Holland [might as well throw him in the mix] since an absence of growth makes their proposals for additional space moot. It also means the people who elected Mayer also invalidated the prognostic powers of the school board candidates they supported based on their belief that these candidates could foresee the future; Unfortunately, the candidates could not conjure up a vision that Mayer would be Mayor which made the belief by the school board candidate – supporters that the candidates could actually see into the future wrong.

No wonder they are referred to as the “Looney Left“! daffy Twisted Logic

    Yes… Looney.

My eyes are still watering over the vision of James Mayer campaigning door to door in North Hudson…

I think that Jack Breault should be magnanimus in victory next Tuesday by promptly contacting the railroad and negotiating a deal to install 8X10 signage on the 2nd Street tressel, heading north just before you as you head onto the mallilieu causeway which says:

YOU HAVE JUST LEFT THE JURISDICTION OF HUDSON!

That’s our choice: Mayer for Mayor OR Wyeth’s gang . . . Mr. No-Growth vs. The Tsunami . . . The Elf vs. Cruella DeVille? Remember, guys, Muchlinski (that’s Mud-sling-ski) favors both Mayor and Wyeth. ‘Nuff said!

Mr. Mud has still never told us who his 3 vote suggestions are. He had his last chance in the paper and missed out. I guess he’s not voting at all. He said he’s not voting for Baker, but yet doesn’t say who his choices are.
