It seemed at first as though you were talking about the Hudson School Board! The School Board was in complete denial when they took us to referendum on an 8-9 building. The Board tried to make the problem dissappear by giving it to the task force to solve. The Board has been involved in a dance of self-defense for about a year now. We seem to be in the 4th phase now. Supt. Bernth is gone. One or more board members are soon to be gone. So take heart all you supporters of education, this crisis is almost over and life will undoubtedly go on.

As a one time employee of Mr. Welch he had more than just these words that helped GE be the stock of the decade during the 90's. First of all, rarely did situations ever get to #1 or #2. He had in place, measures to recognize potential #3's. He also had a corporate philosophy that trickled down to all the companies GE owned. It was this policy instituted throughout GE that led to innovation by employee's that were akin to internal entrepreneurship. His ship was a lean and mean machine. The skills I learned there early in my career are the backbone of my philosophy dealing with not only my current career, but other aspects of my life. Thanks for the reminder bobz!
