Zweifel’s Wiffles – Strike One!

wiffle Zweifel’s Wiffles Strike One! <bgsound src="../files/cg.wav"><noembed>
Back by popular demand it’s the next in a series of Zweifel’s Wiffles! Dave is the socialist editor of of the Capital Times in Madison. Now this is a doozy. I can only say that poor old Dave is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or he forgot to take his medicine. In this latest diatribe he actually says:

Laissez faire advocates like the late Ayn Rand and Milton Friedman protested, saying that nothing should “interfere” with the “free market” and that unfettered competition would right the marketplace. History has proven them wrong.

This is laughable on it’s face. This is his response to the sub-prime debacle. Poor old Dave quit reading On The Borderline after a few fleecings and if he would have read he would have known that it was Governement in the first place that caused it! Then he goes on to praise his hero, FDR! I can’t even continue because I can’t stop laughing, so I’ll post parts of some of the other commenters…

Dave once again shows he is a moron when it comes to economics. Why are assessment values plummeting? Because they were over valued in the first place. What you are seeing is a market correction and if local Government made the mistake of creating budgets based on over inflated property values then shame on them.

A total rewrite of history which is what the left requires in order to prop up their political heroes. FDR turned a recession into the great depression through repressive taxation and regulation. The depression was not a failure of capitalism but a failure of government!

Where is the picture of Joe Stalin? Dave forgets to mention that FDR pro-longed the depression, sent a group of people to internment camps based on race, tried to stack the supreme court, and implemented his disastrous and illegal NRA plan to take over the economy. World War II saved FDR.

It is always so fun to read economic theory from an overpaid socialist whose ‘paper’ has no market and is not profitable.

History has shown us that greed quickly raises its ugly head when the capitalist community is allowed to use its own devices.

The public — and the well-being of the country — needs to be constantly protected. The lessons are quite clear.

Translation: America, you are corrupt and stupid. Surrender your freedoms to the pure hearted, progressive overlords! Only they can save you from yourselves!!!

I hate even giving the socialist paper a link but ‘Free marketers’ proven wrong once again

Strike one!
